Warning: The colors shown here are applied on oak and intended to approximate the final color. The color and the gloss obtained will vary according to the type, texture, and the absorbency of the wood. Film thickness and the number of coats applied will also affect the result. To see the final color, it is recommended to apply the product on the wood to be used. Tips LUBRICANT CLOTHES HAVE THE POSSIBILITY TO FLAME Spontaneously. AFTER USE, THE CLOTHES MUST BE TOTALLY WETTED WITH WATER. While applying, the application method and quantities specified in the Technical Data Sheet of Hemel Hardwax Oil should be followed. Floor applications should first be started from parts such as edges and skirting boards. The expected 15-minute period after Hemel Hardwax Oil is applied is important because; HEMEL Hardwax Oil product applied during this period completely
penetrates the surface by forming a chemical bond with the wood cells. We recommend that you use a maximum of 150 grit sandpaper in your sanding process to prepare the surface before the application. Especially in applications made on hardwood species, wood cells and pores will not have enough openings
for the product to be absorbed in sandpapers over 150 number. In order to be able to apply with the product in maximum quantity, we recommend that it be applied with a pad machine. In this way, HEMEL Hardwax Oil product will penetrate the wood better and a surface of up to 50 square meters can be
lubricated with 1 liter of product. We recommend that the surface be wiped with cellulosic thinner and waited until it dries before the applications to be made on wood species that contain high tannin, oil and sap such as chestnut, iroko. The biggest feature of HEMEL Hardwax Oil is that it offers regional maintenance. When maintenance is desired, if the depth of the scratch is too great, you can apply it as specified in the instructions by making a touch sandpaper with 180-220
sandpaper along the scratch. If the resulting scratch is not very deep, you can do maintenance by following the instructions with the product in the same color as the color you used, without sanding. If you do not prefer a natural and matte look and want a brighter and smoother surface, you can apply Hemel Hardwax Oil in 2 coats. In this application, 24 hours after the first layer application is completed, you can apply the second layer as
specified in the application instructions by making a touch sandpaper according to your preference with 180, 220, 320 or 400 sandpapers between the layers.Pine etc. If you are going to apply on soft woods, do not pour the product on the wood, cloth, brush, etc. We recommend that you apply the material by immersing it in the product. In this way, when the application is made by pouring the product directly on the softwoods, since the absorbency of the woods is high, there may be more absorption in the area where the product is poured, and as a result, color differences may occur on the surface. Problem and Solutions Spontaneous ignition of the cloth used in the application Causes of the Problem: Disposal of used cloths without getting wet Solution: When applying oil-based products, cloth, sponge, felt, etc. In cases where products are used, there is a possibility of spontaneous ignition of the materials used, especially in hot weather. In order to prevent this, these materials that come into contact with oil after use should be completely wetted with water and then disposed of. Regional shine of the surface after application Causes of the Problem: Not removing excess oil applied to the surface Failure to delete properly
Solution: After Hemel Hardwax Oil is applied, the surface should be checked from time to time during the wiping process, and if there are wet areas, these areas should be wiped again until a dry feeling is achieved.
