- 1 L. covers 12-15 m² with two coats
Surface Preparation:
- Do not use cellulose polyurethane filler or primer before applying the product. As a filler, mix the wood dust with the product and fill all gaps and joints of the parquet. Clean the excess paste after it has dried out.
New Wooden Floors & Surfaces:
- Clean the surface thoroughly.
- Sand the surface with a parquet sanding machine or hand using sandpaper #120/150.
- Clean the generated dust thoroughly and remove it from the surface with a vacuum cleaner.
- Hickson Decor Aqua Decorative Wood Colorant can be used to color the parquet floor. After the coloring, allow at least 6 hours to dry before the varnish application.
Old Varnished Wooden Floors & Surfaces:
- Remove the old varnish from the surface thoroughly with a scraping machine. Remove dirt, oil, wood dust, and old varnish residues from the surface.
- Clean the generated dust thoroughly and remove it from the surface with a vacuum cleaner.
- Remove the remaining dust with a damp cloth.
Application:
- The product is ready to use and does not require thinning. (At very high temperatures, 2-3% drinking water may be added).
- Stir the product thoroughly before use and check its homogeneity. Repeat this process during the Application.
- Add the hardener at a ratio of 10% while slowly mixing the varnish with a spatula or stick. Make sure to add the hardener gradually and ensure the hardener container is clean and dry before using a measuring cup. Once the hardener is added, stop mixing and let the varnish rest for 10 minutes before applying. Remember that the mixture has a lifespan of 5 hours, so the application should be completed within this time frame.
- Apply the 1st coat with a brush or roller and leave it to dry for 2 hours.
- Perform a slight sanding with sandpaper #180/220 before applying the 2nd coat.
- For any reason, if 8 hours are exceeded between coats, wait 24 hours and sand the surface with sandpaper #220/240 (aluminum oxide or silicon carbide type sandpaper is recommended) before applying the next coat.
- Apply the 1st coat first across the grain and then along the grain to leave an equal and sufficient amount on the parquet surface without sweeping too much.
- The area should be ventilated after the Application to promote drying.
- Allow seven days for a full cure.
